“Bingo!” Who doesn’t want the experience of marking the final item on your list, jumping out of joy, and shouting that you’ve won? Bingo is an incredibly fun game to play with your family, friends, and workmates. It is suitable for all ages. Plus, it’s very easy to learn! A game of chance perfect for a large group of individuals who are looking for a less active yet exhilarating activity.
How To Play
- 3 or more participants
- Bingo Cards
There are lots of Bingo cards and sets you can buy online to play Bingo. However, should it be a sudden decision to play the game, don’t fret! You can easily create different your own Bingo cards with the following guidelines:
- Make five vertical columns on each card and write the letters B, I, N, G, O, as the header for each column.
- Create five rows under each column and randomly designate numbers for each box. “B” must contain numbers from 1 to 15; “I” with numbers from 16 to 30; “N” with numbers from 31 to 45; “G” with numbers from 46 to 60; and “O” with numbers from 61 to 75.
- The center space of the card under column “N” is considered FREE, which means you can cover it or mark it off as a BONUS.
Objectives of the Game
The objective of the game is simple. The person who matches or marks off a straight line of five numbers, be it vertically, horizontally, or diagonally wins!
A non-participating individual or a leader will call out any random number from 1 to 75. Traditionally, a bucket of balls is used to draw the numbers. If you don’t have one, write numbers 1 to 75 on pieces of paper and place them in a bowl.
If the drawn number is present in your card, mark it off using a colored pen. However, if you’re planning to do a Bingo marathon, just cover it with any small item available, such as beans, pebbles, or grains. That way, you could reuse the cards in the subsequent rounds.
Important reminder: Never forget to yell ‘Bingo!’ once you’ve marked off a straight line!
Other Bingo Variations
While using Bingo cards with numbers undeniably fun, you can level up the game from using words, names of places, celebrities, or even equations for math whizzes! The objectives of the game would be the same. Simply replace the number within the squares with phrases or words.
If you’re playing with kids, use pictures instead, and choose from different categories, such as animals, cartoon characters, or food. What you can put on your Bingo cards are up to your imagination. You may apply different variations depending on the participants!
How To Play Remotely
What’s great about Bingo is that you can play it remotely, given that the number of people who can join is limitless! Moreover, it’s ideal if you want to connect with faraway friends and loved ones in the comfort of your home. Playing Bingo online can quickly kill boredom and isolation, and make the day fun for everyone.
Before you engage in a Bingo marathon, see to it that everyone has a Bingo card, a pen, or Bingo chips, and you’re all set!
